Climbing Arthur's Seat!!!!

Tuesday, 22nd September 2009. Today in the morning we went to school. We ate a sandwitch for lunch. Later we went to Edinburgh Volcano, called Arthur’s seat. It was very windy. It took a lot of time to get at the top. There were 40 minutes to arrive at the top. There were very beautiful views from the top. We saw a stadium, many houses, monuments and the see. We went down to Edinburgh in 20 minutes. We took the bus and we went shopping. We had a very good day!
Avui al mati hem anat a l’escola, hem dinat un entrepa. Despres hem anat al volca d’Edinburgh anomenat Arthur’s seat, on hi feia molt vent. Vam tardar 40 min a arribar a dalt. Hi havia una vista molt bonica. Des de dalt es veia un camp de futbol , moltes cases i monuments i fins i tot el mar. Vam baixar amb 20 min. Vam agafar el bus i vam anar de compres. Va ser un dia molt divertit.

A visit to the National Museum!

Monday, 21st September 2009. We started classes at 9:15 and we finished class at 12:45. In class we talked about fashion and environment. We did dialogues in pairs. In the afternnon we had to climb Arthur's seat, but it was raining and we went to the National Museum of Scotland. In the museum there were modern cars, telephones, pictures and a mobile that you could text messages with your feet. It was very funny and nice. Then we went back home by bus because at night we did not have any activities. We stayed with the families.

Dilluns, 21 de setembre de 2009. Vam comencar les classes a les 9:15 i vam acabar a les 12:45. A la classe vam treballar la moda i el medi ambient. Vam fer dialegs en parelles. A la tarda haviem d'anar a caminar pero va ploure i vam anar al Museu Nacional d'Escocia. En el museu hi havien cotxes moderns, telefons, quadres i un mobil amb el que podies escriure missatges amb els peus. Va ser molt divertit i agradable. Llavors vam tornar a calsa amb autobus perque aquella nit no teniem activitats a l'escola. Ens vam quedar amb les families.

We have seen the Monster in Loch Ness!

Sunday, 20th September 2009. When we got up in the youth hostel, we went to the coach and we went to Loch Ness. We stopped in the village where the Loch Ness is in your front We went to Inverness village and bought presents. When we returned to Edinburgh we went to other places. One of this is a castle (Urquhart). David (is the guide) showed the parts of the castle. The other places is a high land cows and a very old house.
Quan ens vam llevar en l’alberg, vam agafar l’autobus i vam anar al llac Ness. Vam parar en una ciutat davant del llac Ness Vam anar a la ciutat d’Inverness i vam comprar regals. De tornada a Edinburgh vam parar a d’altres llocs. Un era un castell (Urquhart). El David (el guia) ens va ensenyar les parts del castell. Altres coses que vam veure van ser les vaques escoceses i una casa molt vella en ruines.

Our weekend trip: Glasgow, Glen Coe and Harry Potter's bridge.

Saturday, 19 September 09. We went to Glasgow and we went shopping. At 11 o’clock we went to the transport museum . We really liked it. Later, we had lunch in the street. When people finished we went to the bus and then we went to the valley Glen Coe and when we finished we went to visit a tower and a bridge. The bridge was in Harry Potter film. The tower was very small and the lake was very near. The trip was very long but, we were singing and the trip was shorter. Then we went to the hostel.

Vam anar a Glasgow i ens en vam anar de compres. A les 11 vam anar al museu del transports. Ens va agradar molt. Més tard, dinem al carrer. Quan la gent va acabar vam anar a l'autobús i després ens en vam anar a la vall de Glen Coe i quan vam acabar vam anar a una torre i a un pont. El pont surt a la pel.licula de Harry Potter. La torre era molt petita i el llac estava molt aprop. El trajecte era molt llarg, però estàvem cantant i el trajecte es va fer mes curt.

Friday, 18th September 2009. Today there were classes as everyday. After lunch we went shopping because we all wanted to buy some presents. We had a lot of fun. We bought some kilts (Scotish skirts), T-shirts, guitars, bag pipes and some sweets. Then we went back home to get ready for next day trip to Loch Ness.

Divendres 18 de setembre del 2009. avui hi havien classes com cada dia. Despres de dinar hem anat de compres perque tots voliem comprar alguns regals. Ens ho hem passat molt be. Hem comprat alguns Kilts (faldilles escoceses, camisetes, guitarres, gaites i dolcos. Despres hem tornat a casa per prepararnos per l'excursio del proxim dia al llac Ness.

Visiting the Botanic Gardens!

Thursday September 17 2009. We started class at 09:15. The first teacher was Patrick and the second was Jamie. The class was very nice, we finished the class at 12:30. Then we went to lunch, next we had free time. Later we caught the bus to go to a Botanic Garden, here we had to look for our favourite flower, tree or animal and draw it, and the teacher chose the best drawing. Then we went shopping in groups. At 17:00 we went to the bus stop to go back to the house. This day was very nice!!!
Dijous 17 de setembre de 2009. Vam comencar classes a les 09:15. El primer professor es deia Patrick i el segon Jamie. La classe va ser molt divertida, nosaltres vam acabar la classe a les 12:30. Llavors vam anar a dinar i despres vam tenir temps lliure. Despres vam agafar el bus per anar al Jardi Botanic, on vam buscar la nostra flor, arbre o animal favorit i ho vam dibuixar, i el professor va triar el millor dibuix. Despres vam anar de compres en grups. A les 5:00 vam tornar a la parada del bus i vam tornar a casa. Aquest va ser una dia molt agradable.

Trip to Rosslyn Chapel like in Da Vinci Code

Wednesday 16th of 2009 we took another class. We practiced the past and the present tense and then after that we had a break. Then we continued the class project, after that we had lunch. When we finished we went to the Rosslyn chapel, it was beautiful and famous because Dan Brown’s wrote a book, The Da Vinci Code. At night we watched the film Stardust in the Mackenzie's school after that we went home by taxi.

Dimecres 16 de 2009 vam fer una altra classe, vam practicar el passat i el present, despres vam fer un descans. Llavors vam continuar el projecte, quan es va acabar la classe vam dinar. Despres vam anar a veure una esglesia, era molt guapa i es va fer famosa perque Dan Brow’s va escriure un llibre anomenat el Codi Da Vinci. A la nit vam veure una pel.licula que es deia Stardust a Mackenzie i llavors ens van portar amb taxi fins a casa.

Edinburgh Castle, what a wanderful castle!!!!

Tuesday 15th September, we started classes at a quater past nine and finished at a quarter to one. The classes were very nice because the teachers put music on. At a quater to one we had lunch. Many people didn’t like it because it was different (strange to them). In the afternoon we went to Edinburgh Castle (a powerful symbol of the new town of Edinburgh World heritage). It is a very beautiful place. Then we went back home to have dinner and later we went to bed. Dinner was very delicious and the day was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

Dimarts 15 de setembre. Comencem les classes a les 9.15 i les acabem a les 12.45. Les classes son divertides perque els profes posen musica. A les 12.45 dinem. A molta gent no li va agradar el dinar perque es diferent al que ells estan acostumats. Per la tarda anem al castell d'Edinburgh (un gran simbold del patrimoni de la ciutat d'Edinburgh). Es un lloc molt bonic. Llavors tornem a casa a sopar i despres ens en anem a dormir. Un sopar bonissim i un dia fantastic!!!!

Learning English and discovering Edinburgh

Monday 14th of September 2009 we started the classes in Mackenzie school, first: we had to take an exam, and then they decided the group classes that we had to go to, then we did our first class. In the afternoon we went to visit Edinburgh, by ourselves with the activity leaders. At night we went to a party at school.

Dilluns 14 setembre 2009 vam començar les classes a l'escola Mackenzie, en primer lloc: hem de fer un examen, i després es va decidir a quins grups classe anem i aleshores fem la primera classe. A la tarda vam anar a visitar Edinburg tots sols amb l’ajuda dels monitors d’activitats. A la nit vam anar a una festa a l'escola.

Our first day: a trip to Stirling

Sunday 13th of September 2009 we go to the Sterling Castle and we visit it in groups. We need to search for facts that happened in the castle years ago. Then Gwen (the teacher of Mackenzie school) recorded that. Then we go to the monument dedicated to William Wallace. There are many steps, but we go to the top of the monument. When we arrive up to the top we are tired. We had a very good time and the teachers are very good.

El diumenge 13 de setembre de 2009 ens en anem a Sterling Castle, el vam visitar en grups. Haviem de buscar els fets que van succeir al castell fa anys. Després, Gwen (la mestra de l'escola Mackenzie) va gravar-nos en video explicant-ho tot en angles. Després vam anar al monument de William Wallace. Hi ha moltes escales, però vam arribar a la part superior del monument. Quan vam arribar al cim estavem cansats. Ens ho vam passar molt be i els professors ens agraden molt.

Hello from Edimburgh!!!!!!!!

We are finally in Edimburgh! The trip was excellent and everything went OK (though we did not like the plane food). First day we met the host families and then we had a long rest (which we needed because we were really exhausted).

Finalment ja hem arribat. Tot ha anat molt be (tot i que el menjar de l'avio no ens ha agradat gaire com ja ens esperavem). El primer dia vam coneixer les families acollidores i llavors vam anar a descansar (ho necessitavem de debo ja que estavem morts) Alguns van dormir 12 hores...!!!
